Edward Watkins 71 of Mt. Sterling husband of Leigh Ann Watkins passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Saint Joseph Mt. Sterling. Ed was a retired Corpsman with the United States Navy and a former employee of Nestle. He was a member of the Christian Assembly of God, The American Legion and was a Kentucky Coronal and a Gideon. Ed lived in Hawaii for 11 years after he retired from the Navy were he acquired a love for deep sea fishing and antique cars. He is survived by his wife Leigh Ann Watkins of Mt. Sterling, one son Edward Watkins JR of Nashville, TN, one daughter Lonnie Hall of Missouri and 3 grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at 12 PM Saturday, July 13, 2014 at The Queen Street Christian Fellowship with visitation from 10 AM till time of services. Grayson Funeral Home in Clay City is in charge of services.
