Frederick (Fred) Ewing Greene 87 of Mt. Sterling Widower of Mable Greene passed away Friday, December 8, 2023 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling. He was born November 29, 1936 to Virgil (Shorty) and Lula Mae Green. He was a member of the Oak Hill Church and was retired from Dutch's Chevy Olds. He is survived by three daughters Jennifer Cecil and her husband Jeremy of Cynthiana, Melinda Goldey of Jeffersonville, Trina Bishop of Mt. Sterling, four grandchildren Courtney Sallee and her husband Caleb of Means, Samantha Goldey of Jeffersonville, Micaiah Bishop of Elizabethtown, Tabitha Bishop of Louisville, Two great-granddaughters Ariel Sallee and Audi Sallee of Means, Three sisters, Virgie Greene of Mt. Sterling, Cathie Schrenk and husband Duane of Michigan, Connie Terrill and husband Lonnie of Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil (Shorty) and Lula Mae Greene, two sisters Mattie Garrett and Mamie Helen Norris, a son Steve Goldey, and a granddaughter Amanda Goldey. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 4 PM at the Grayson Funeral Home in Clay City. Friends may visit Sunday from 3 PM till 4 PM. Grayson Funeral Home in Clay City is in charge.
