Georgia "Joyce" Johnson 42 of Stanton passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was a housewife. She is survived by her parents Raymond and Ruby Tharpe of Stanton, husband John Johnson of Stanton, two sons Josh Ross of Stanton, Timmy Tharpe, one daughter Tabitha Osborne, one grandchild Joshua James Ross, two brothers Morgan Craig of Mt. Sterling, Raymond Tharpe Jr. of Stanton, one sister Jelina Fields of Stanton, and a loyal friend Steve Booth. She was preceded in death by a son Michael Tharpe. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Johnny Hurt officiating. Friends may visit Wednesday from 11 AM till time of the service. Burial will be in the Tharpe Cemetery at Pine Ridge. Grayson Funeral Home is in charge of services.
