Lemon Brooks 89 of Mt. Sterling passed away June 17, 2024 at the Windsor Care Center. He was born January 2, 1935 to Charles and Stella Brooks. He was retired from Walker Construction Company and was a member of the Means Community Miracle Church. He is survived by two sons Rick Brooks and his wife Tina, Wayne Brooks and wife Evelyn, four daughters Theresa Roe and husband Lloyd, Pam Centers and husband Mark, Tena Martin, Judy Patrick and husband Rick, ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren, and a sister Louise Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Marie Brooks, a daughter Gail Rogers, a grandson Brandon Rogers, five brothers Benny Brooks, Cecil Brooks, Avery Brooks, Charles Brooks JR, Paul Brooks and a sister Thelma Stephens. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Thursday, June 20, 2024 at the Grayson Funeral Home in Clay City. Friends may visit Thursday from 10 AM till time of the service. Burial will be in the Lovely Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Pallbearers are Ronnie Banks, Lloyd Roe, Mark Centers, Rick Patrick, Ricky Brooks and Brian Centers. Grayson Funeral Home is in charge of services.
