Raymond Elwood Rogers 80 of Stanton passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the VA Hospital in Lexington with his family by his side. He was a member of the Blessed Assurance Church, a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a life member of the Am Vets and a member of the Marine Corps League. He is survived by his wife Virginia Rogers of Stanton, four sons Lenny Rogers of Charlotte, N.C., Darrell Rogers and wife Michelle of West Chester, OH, Doug Rogers and wife Marie of Dayton, OH, Ray Miller and wife Amanda of Aurora, CO, three stepsons Roy Brandenburg, Bob Brandenburg and Dan Morse, one daughter Michelle Rigsby and husband Michael of Dayton, OH, four stepdaughters Pam Martinez, Sheila Hicks, Brenda Wilhoit, and Christine Fickey, elven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, on brother Kenneth Rogers, two sisters Gladys Townsend of Winchester, Lynn Rose of Frenchburg and several Nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Effie Rogers, one son Tim Rogers, four brothers William Rogers Jr., Paul Rogers, Gary Rogers, Hargus Jackson, two sisters Wanda Smith and Arnice Kalar. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, February 9, 2015 with Bro. Gary Sparks officiating at the Grayson Funeral Home Chapel.
