Ruby Lafferty 87 passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 at the Windsor Care Center in Mt. Sterling. She was a housewife and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by one son Oakley Vernon Lafferty and his wife Teresa of Tucson, AZ, one daughter Teresa George and her husband Rayburn of Jeffersonville, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Asa and Pheba Preston, husband Oakley Lafferty, one son Lawrence Lafferty, one brother Benny Lafferty and one sister Dorothy Smith. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, January 5, 2015 at The Grayson Funeral Home Chapel in Clay City. Friends may visit Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 6 - 9 PM at the funeral home. Grayson Funeral Home is in charge of services.
